I wanted to solve for a problem I have at home–making sure the kids are not only doing their homework, but remembering to bring it home, clearly identifying all the subjects in which they have work, and checking the work. I tend to be pretty busy on weekday evenings, and thought the kids would have fun checking in their work on their own mobile app, and getting points toward a prize at the end of the week.

The app allows them to add subjects, mark today’s work in a subject complete or remove it if they don’t have any homework that day, and submit their work for the day as finished. Parents would get a text notification (or email) when the work is submitted and then check the child’s work and approve. A chat area allows the kids to ask questions or work with siblings on problems.

Kids love the computer, they love chat, and they love pressing buttons. I think this’ll get ’em moving!
